Corey launched VerticalReach Consulting Group in 2006 to leverage over a decade of executive search experience with large firms and boutiques, including two venture-backed search firms. Corey is a hands-on recruiter and predominantly focuses on transformation-oriented Procurement, Sourcing and corporate Supply Chain roles in global to mid-market public and private corporations, as well as leading professional services consulting firms. A thought-leader in Procurement and Supply Chain Talent Acquisition and Development, Corey has published numerous articles and been quoted in leading publications such as the ISM's Inside Supply Management and ThomasNet News.

Corey is uniquely qualified to assess procurement and supply chain management knowledge and capabilities having recruited these disciplines extensively on behalf of premier management consulting firms and world-class corporations. Additionally, he has received formal training in procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management best practices.

Prior to becoming an executive recruiter, Corey held merchandising, supply management and sales positions of increasing responsibility in the Retail, Publishing and Telecommunications Industries where he acquired experience in Strategic Sourcing, Inventory Management, People Management, Just-In-Time Replenishment, Sales, Distribution, and Merchandise Category Management.

His personal and professional affiliations include The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) where he has served by appointment on ISM's National Chapter Advisory Council and has also served in various roles with ISM-Dallas, including Employment Chair, Vice President of Membership and three terms as President; the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), an international financial services trade organization that supports the growth of middle-market companies and investors; and Preston Road church of Christ. Corey enjoys reading works on personal and professional development, science, business, and theology, as well as playing music and enjoying the outdoors.

Corey is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and holds Master’s degrees in Organizational Leadership and Executive Coaching & Consultation through the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling at Concordia University Irvine. He is also certified by Multi Health Systems, Inc. to administer and interpret the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 Leadership and Workplace Emotional Intelligence assessments and is passionate about coaching high-potential supply management leaders, individuals, and teams.
